She is a double Limca Book of Records holder for a 25 feet sculpture made of 26,000 bells and for a series of miniature caricatures of contemporary politics figures and was facilitated in 2007 at the Incredible India 60 festival in New York by Coca-cola as one of the emerging 10 who would transform the global artistic landscape.Īs an filmmaker and animator, her films have screened at over 50 film festivals including a few Oscar qualifying ones across the world that pulled her onto the International radar. Recognized as one of the most artistic personalities on NDTV’s ‘The Creative Indians’, Charuvi loves to make the world her playground of experimentation. She is highly selective in her concepts and so works on few but large pieces, most of which are sold before she finishes them. Her installations adorn spaces in collector’s homes, museums, corporate offices and more.
She did her first major exhibition in 2006 at the Visual Arts Gallery at the India Habitat Center with all works being sold out. Her work is an amalgamation of technology and art and typically creates a simulacrum which titillates all the senses. With a gold medal in fine arts from Delhi College of Arts and with a master’s degree in Computer Animation from Sheridan College from Canada, Charuvi Agrawal is a practicing visual artist specializing in large scale interactive installations alongside making animation content through her own firm Charuvi Design Labs. Painted Kavads, paintings and the film will be on display with each piece made using mixed media in a contemporary avatar. The artwork is centered around a award winning animated short film Shri Hanuman Chalisa of which the largest one is a 25 feet sculpture titled 26,000 Bells Of Light. Hanuman: Images Beyond Imagination by Charuvi Agrawal is a solo exhibition in collaboration with IGNCA showcasing the artists project on The Hanuman Chalisa.
Visual artist Charuvi Agrawal is organizing an art exhibition in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi National Center for Arts (IGNCA), New Delhi, titled Hanuman: Images Beyond Imagination between the 10 th and 30 th of April 2017. The artist will exhibit paintings, a short award winning film, painted cabinets and the 26,000 bells of light sculpture.
